Welcome

King Ludwig II would have loved the Festspielhaus! The location on a peninsula directly at the greenish blue Forgensee, which is sheltered by the mighty Allgäu Alps, is breath-taking! It enables you to catch a glimpse of Ludwig’s fairy-tale castle Neuschwanstein and is just nearby the romantic city Füssen.

With its outstanding architecture it can host up to 1 350 art and culture lovers. All of his five different restaurants which range from the cosy beer garden and the cool lounge bar to the romantic hall of mirrors have a spectacular view on the lake and the castle.
The Festspielhaus is right in the middle of one of Germany’s number one holiday destinations: the Allgäu.
A new program and new management bring a breath of fresh air into the Festspielhaus! Our motto is diversity for everyone and our program ranges from a music hall festival, operas, theatre for children to a comeback of the successful musical “Ludwig”!

Come and check out the Festspielhaus where modern architecture and your dream events come true!
